I love words, and playing with their meanings in new ways. The definition of delve is to dig and excavate. The Archaic take on the word refers to digging with a shovel or spade. It can also mean to carry on intensive and thorough research for information. Are you beginning to see where I'm going with this? Dig deep with the tools of intense inquiry to find that amazing uniquely magnificent person that lives inside of you. I know that being is in there and dying to come out.

The thought of BEing magnificent can be very intimidating. Who, me? Yes, you. Each and every one of you. I am a Marianne Williamson fan of her famous quote that our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. The following four simple steps will help you begin to uncover that awesome soul…do you hear the planet calling?

Step 1: Declutter
The process of decluttering is both inside and out. To declutter your internal self, you will never believe how easy it is. Breathe and drink water. As you exhale, release the old patterns no longer serving you. Inhale, and breathe in the space for the fresh new thinking. Then add drinking 2-4 liters of hot water every day and we have completed the basics of internal cleansing. I told you it was easy. I have a feeling you know what to do to declutter your external world. It is there all around you. Simple places to look that can make a big impact…your purse, email inbox, utensil drawer, entryway to your home, and your car. Start here and feel the difference in how your energy flows.

Step 2: Assess
Assessing who you are in your inner magnificence takes a large amount of courage. We can see it in others so much easier than we see it in ourselves. Assessment can be a deep process of inquiry where more details of what makes you peaceful, passionate and in your pleasure continue to be revealed. Start by identifying your core values, and evaluating how you are honoring those in your life.

Step 3:Integrate
What you learn from deep inquiry becomes a new more positive reality as you integrate what you assess into your everyday life. One excellent tool to staying focused on integrating the positive in your life is to designate a journal for only the positive evidence of what is working well in your life. Begin to notice all the little things that work well…that oatmeal tasted so good this morning or what a sweet smile on her face when I said hello. My challenge is to daily write 12 pieces of evidence of how your life is working well. Do this for 30 days and see what happens.

Step 4: Mastering
There are those who would never refer to themselves as a master. I know there was a time in my life when that would have been too arrogant or grandiose a word to use in reference to me. This final step of mastering is not about mastering anything outside yourself. Imagine if we could become masters of ourselves, then there would be no need to be a master of anyone else. You know you have discovered your inner magnificence when when you feel your inner beauty and sexuality easily and effortlessly. You are able to smile with your whole body. A smile that lights up a whole room with self-love that comes from mastering who you are.

Happy 2012!…did you say extraordinary year?
