CBL Special - Everyday Naked with Mary Bartnikowski

One of the things I love about working in the internet market of media is that all I need is my recorder in hand, meet fascinating people, ask them for their wisdom and post it on my site.

Such was the case with Mary Bartnikowski, who I met through my dear friend Sandra Hickman, at David Walley's Hot Springs Resort near Genoa, Nevada. Love spontanous connections with dynamic women.

Mary is the author of "Everyday Naked," and her newly released book "Kitten Heels in Katmandu: Adventures of a Female Vagabond," and she has captured vulnerability and deep truth about living as an adventurous women. Mary traveled to 27 countries in 6 years by herself, and her new book tells many of the tales she experienced. She is a true example of knowing her inner beauty and sexuality and finding the courage, confidence and grace to go with that. She is a photographer and has taken photos and videos of many of her adventures including seeing the Dalai Lama and escaping a stampede of elephants in Nepal. ARTICLE - An Unwavering Appreciation for Your Individuality

Jacqueline Piper, of BeyondStyleOnline.com and author of “Beyond Style: The Quest,” offered that phrase to me during one of my recent interviews for a Special Inner Beauty Collaborative through WGRNradio.com. You will be hearing much more about these 22 interviews with 22 different thought leaders from various backgrounds on the topic of inner beauty. I’m on a mission to make inner beauty ALL the rage.

Jacqueline shared three secrets on her approach to inner beauty. I want to share them with you, and add some of my own thoughts.

The first and most critical step in the “Beyond Style: The Quest” approach is to have a deep understand of the influence of your thoughts. The recognition of your habitual thinking, and looking at whether it is constructive or destructive. This is a big one, ladies. Is your thinking around your beauty positive and constructive or negative? Given the data on how women feel about their bodies, I guess one could conclude that most women need to work on their habitual thinking about their own beauty. I ask you to consider what is the most appealing part of your body to YOU; not your husband, your neighbor or your best friend. My next request is to ask you to make sure you bring that body part in when you look in the mirror. As long as it’s not the middle of your back, let your gaze take you to enjoy looking at it too. Start and end your day with noticing your own beautiful self, developing thoughts to support what you know about your beauty.

Jacqueline’s second secret is the ability to develop an unwavering appreciation for your unique individuality. Wow, doesn’t that sound great! Can you feel how it helps you to tap into your inner beauty when you have an unwavering appreciation for who you BE in the world. Nobody else is like you…nobody.

“You are unique. If that is not expressed, then something is lost.” - Martha Graham

The final secret Jacqueline shared was to strengthen your mind with elevated thought. She shared that you must be a persistent seeker of your truth so that your mind can expand and help you see all you were created to be. When you live your life on this higher thought plain, then you have access to the universal laws of reciprocity, growth, and much more.

Women who seek to find that place of inner beauty will be rewarded with courage, confidence and grace enjoying a calm and harmonious life.

I thank Jacqueline Piper for all her gems of wisdom, and thank all of you for caring about your beauty and what it means to the world.

CBL#137 - Celebrating Men, Satisfying Women with Alison Armstrong

Why is receptivity so hard for women?  What does it mean to receive a man? These questions and so many more are asked to relationship expert, Alison Armstrong. Women need to stop feeling like men are clueless and don't understand, and learn what they are doing to create the clueless-ness. Alison is a dynamo, so if you want some cut to the chase advice on how you can enrich your relationships and your life, sit down with some tea, and click "Listen" below. I guarantee it will provoke some new thinking.

Alison Armstrong, author, educator, and designer of the wildly acclaimed "Celebrating Men, Satisfying Women" workshop series, asks the question: "If man were primarily the hunter and women the gatherer, what would this explain about our behavior?"  She explores the differences in the ways we think, act and communicate. She offers simple, win-win strategies for men and women to improve their communication and intimacy by paying attention to when they talk, how they talk, and what they listen for.  While many women bring out the worst in men – turning Princes into Frogs – Alison has spent two decades teaching women and men what they can do to bring out the best in each other.

Born in Laguna Beach, California in 1960, Alison Armstrong has been designing and leading transformational programs for adults for almost 30 years.  Since 1989, she has been training others to facilitate growth, healing and transformation.  In 1995, after four years of studying men for her personal benefit, she created the Celebrating Men, Satisfying Women® workshop series to share her extraordinary findings with women across the nation.  With her friend, Joan McClain, she founded PAX Programs Incorporated with the mission of “altering society’s culture by transforming the way women relate to men.”  PAX, the Latin word for “peace” and an acronym for Partnership, Adoration and Xtasy, creates peace between the sexes by providing unique and immediately useful information to women and men.

Alison is the author of Keys to the Kingdom and Making Sense of Men ~ A Woman's Guide to a Lifetime of Love, Care and Attention from All Men.  While she enjoys writing and developing products to help men and women create peaceful partnerships, she still leads workshops around the country.  You can see Alison live at Understanding Women: Unlock the Mystery™, the PAX Mastery & Leadership Program, Embracing the Queen (the advanced Queen course), and Core Partnership (the “Colorado Horse Course”), Partnership By Design, and an occasional Celebrating Men, Satisfying Women® workshop and introductory Making Sense of Men™ seminars.

Alison’s other passions include gardening, nature, and animals, especially horses.  Fulfilling a childhood dream, Alison is raising a horse from birth at her beautiful home in picturesque western Colorado.  Alison enjoys spending time with Greg, her husband since 1993, who she has described as “the motorcycle riding, piano playing, former C.P.A.”  They live with their youngest daughter in Southern California.  People often comment on her marriage, assuming they must be newlyweds.  “Greg and I sometimes make people uncomfortable, although we don’t mean to.  I just have the worst crush on him.  And,” she adds with a smile, “Greg says he worships the water I walk on.” Armstrong also has a grown son and daughter, currently enjoying various adventures.

FINDING THE FUNNY - MALE/FEMALE DIFFERENCES

Husband and wife are getting all snugly in bed. The passion is heating up.

But then the wife stops and says, "I don' t feel like it. I just want you to hold me."

The husband says " WHAT???" The wife explains that he must not be in tune with her emotional needs as a woman.

The husband realizes that nothing is going to happen tonight and he might as well deal with it.

So the next day the husband takes her shopping at a big dept. store. He walks around and had her try on three very expensive outfits. And then tells his wife, We 'll take all three of them. Then goes over and gets matching shoes worth $200 each.

And then goes to the jewelry Dept. and gets a set of diamond earrings. The wife is so excited (she thinks her husband has flipped out, but she does not care). She goes for the tennis bracelet.

The husband says "but you don 't even play tennis, but OK if you like it then lets get it.'

The wife is jumping up and down. So excited she cannot even believe what is going on. She says " I am ready to go, lets go to the cash register. "

The husband says, " no no no, honey we're not going to buy all this stuff." The wife face goes blank.

" No honey - I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while."

Her face gets really red she is about to explode and then the husband says " You must not be in tune with my financial needs as a MAN!"

Men need sex. Women need shopping. How do you relate to this idea?

ARTICLE: The 5 Ps to Peace, Passion, and Pleasure

How many Ps can you find in this article?  I'm feeling in a childlike mood today. :)

Penelope Piper Paused, Pondered, Planned, Prospected and Popped so that she could bring her Peaceful, Passionate and Pleasured self out into the world.

And so it goes in the world of organic and orgasmic.

Are we having fun yet? When is the last time you felt like life was rolling along without conflicts or worries? How do you suppose the laws of attraction work when we feel worry?

Okay, Coach Betty, enough with the questions! Many of my clients say enough, just tell me what to do and how to feel. Sorry, it is an inside job, and Pausing and Pondering these questions will help you find that place. How you Plan the rest of your life could be quite a bit different than your current path.

This is actually a 5-part proven system that you can begin to implement today, in this moment, without Purchasing a thing to begin on the Path of Peace, Passion, and Pleasure which are the Ps that follow the Os of Organic and Orgasmic. Sometimes, I am just too clever.

Let me cut to the chase with step 1. The only way to begin the path to peace, passion and pleasure is Pausing in the moment and paying attention to your senses. Sensuality is not something you can multi-task through. You must get off the hamster wheel of whatever cycle you are in the midst of, and give yourself as little as 30 seconds or 10 breaths to notice your solar plexus or 3rd chakra area. That is really all there is to understand step 1, Pause.

The 2nd step of Ponder is all about what you felt when you Paused. If your upper belly is tense and tight, you are in some state of worry. Breathe deeper into that tightness and assure your body that you are going to find ways to make peace and relax.

The 3rd step of Planning is to design ways to get to your inner beauty, sexuality, and peace. The common Prescription is to breathe for 30 seconds and notice your 3rd chakra 3 times a day, when you open your eyes in the morning, after lunch, and before you close your eyes at night. Simple as that and remember all the 3s….3rd step, 3rd chakra, 3(0) seconds and 3 times a day. Design little tricks to remind and re-program your brain.

After this becomes automatic, then you are ready for steps 4 and 5. Prospecting for your unique magnificence and popping that out into the world can be tricky for you to do for yourself. Remember Marianne Williamson’s famous quote “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.” I have personally experienced the fear of looking my power right in the eye and shrinking back from it. I repeatedly go back through steps 1-3, and more keeps popping out. It is very important to surround yourself with people who see you in all your beauty and sexuality, magnificence, wisdom, or whatever words for which you want to be known.

Don’t let Penelope Piper have all the fun!  Pop it out there!

CBL SPECIAL: Organic Passion for the Native Seed with Dr. Vandana Shiva

Dr. Vandana Shiva is Coach Betty's honored guest on this CBL Special Podcast edition. It was a thrill and pleasure to interview the Queen of the "Native Seed" Movement. Dr. Shiva, visiting from India, spoke to an audience filled with fans and supporters at Dominican University in San Rafael, California on Wednesday evening.  Her opening remarks were, "There is so much to celebrate, but we are in a mess."

Her passionate message focuses on banning all chemical fertilizers and returning to organic gardening and the native seed. Her view is that the native seed is going through a holocaust as Corporations are controlling seed supply.  Over 250,000 Indian Farmers have committed suicide because of large indebtedness to these Corporations. Her call to action was directed at each individual as she said, "Things change because the fear disappears." Dr. Shiva urged women to take back the control of food for the future of our planet.
